Five ridged metal plates, or lames, overlay one another on the spaulder for laminate upper-arm protection, while besagues (small round convex metal shields) tied on with leather cords add further armpit coverage. Leather straps around the biceps and at the shoulder blade fasten the shoulderplates to a breast- and backplate. Epic Armoury breast- and backplates are sold separately and come with fittings for mounting the shoulders.

Neutral in style, the Warrior Shoulderplates work just as well with other Epic Armoury metal products, giving you the freedom to customize your character's costume. Made of 0.04 in thick mild steel with leather straps and fittings, this piece is built to withstand LARP or reenactment abuse with regular leather and metal armor care.

Available in Polished Steel and Epic Dark colors

Available in sizes S and M/L/XL

History

Plate armor became more popular as firearm technology became more prevalent during the 13th century

Historically designed with sculpted ridges and overlapping plates to provide reinforced protection and to deflect attacks on a chaotic battlefield

Disclaimer: Our LARP products are for recreational use only.
