Each butted steel ring interlocks with four others in a 4-in-1 pattern, and the hem is finished in full grain leather for comfort around the waist and groin.

It's a strong choice for heavy medieval infantry and sergeants who don't want armor that costs them their range of motion. Wear it over one of our gambesons for the most comfortable, authentic fit, secure it with the double-strapped belt around the waist to help offset the chainmail's weight, and adjust the shoulder straps to taste. Combine it with other Epic Armoury metalwork and clothing to build out your character.

Available in sizes M, L, XL and 2XL

History

Mail is one of the oldest armor types in the world, and the same slash-resistant principle still shows up in modern protective gear today. It entered the historical record around the 4th century B.C., near the time of the famous clash between the Greeks and Persians at Thermopylae, and went on to see wide use among Roman and early medieval infantry and knights.

Disclaimer: Our LARP products are for recreational use only.
