Its 39.4 in center-ridged blade carries a leather-wrapped ricasso, letting you half-sword by shifting one hand up onto the blade itself for tighter control, or wield it fully two-handed for maximum reach and power.

A V-shaped crossguard decorated with diamond patterns guards the 12.6 in handle, wrapped in full grain leather and shaped ergonomically for command over the long blade, while the pentagonal pommel echoes the crossguard's design.

Realistic enough for medieval or fantasy settings alike, the Baal suits knights and other elite warriors after a powerful, stylish edge. It's built from durable closed cell foam around a solid fiberglass core and finished with a strong latex coating, giving your battlefield kit both safety and presence.

History

The name draws on Baal, a Prince of Hell said to serve as Satan's chief lieutenant — though "Baal" was also historically a title meaning "Lord," at times used interchangeably with "God." Two-handed swords of this scale didn't see wide use until after the 13th century, when they rose to prominence as infantry weapons through the 15th and 16th centuries. Known in German as the Zweihänder (literally "two-hander"), the type demanded soldiers trained specifically to wield it, earning them the title Meister des langen Schwertes, or "Master of the Long Sword." Wielding one took both hands, and its sheer length meant it was often carried unsheathed across the shoulder, much like a halberd.

Disclaimer: Our LARP products are for recreational use only.
