Point to pommel it measures 27.2 in, and each of the four reinforced flanges stretches 21.7 in from the crossguard up to the tip. A rough steel-toned latex finish sells the illusion of a tool built for cracking heavy armor, fitting for a grizzled footman or an opportunist looking to rob travelers on the road. Below the small crossguard sits a 5.9 in handle, round in profile and wrapped in suede leather, ending in a flat ringed pommel. It's a weapon suited to fighters who lean on raw strength and battlefield experience, Orcs included, who want something suitably savage-looking. The build itself pairs a solid fiberglass core with durable closed cell foam and a tough latex coating, so it holds up to safe, repeated use in a battlefield-themed kit.

History

A comparable bar mace turned up during a Thames River excavation dated to around 1300 A.D.

The flanges and added weight were engineered specifically to punch through armor

Earlier maces were designed differently, meant to injure through blunt force alone, without piercing armor

Disclaimer: Our LARP products are for recreational use only.
