1911-battleworn-trench-knife
Battleworn Trench Knife

Battleworn Trench Knife

This is a fighting knife — bruised and worn-looking, sure, but don't let that fool you. Epic Armoury's Battleworn Trench Knife is a latex-hybrid single-edged blade with an intricate knuckleduster handle, long enough to resemble a small sword and richly detailed with traces of rust and wear. It comes in two lengths: a 23.6 in version with a 15.7 in curved blade, and an 33.5 in version with a 25.6 in blade, both inspired by weapons of the First World War. The elaborate crossguard wraps around the hand for a protective, comfortable grip on each finger, useful for close-quarters fighting where a punch lands as well as a slash. The 4.3 in handle is cast and painted to look like real wood with metal touches.

Whether your character is a ruffian, a scarred soldier, or a post-apocalyptic warrior, this Battleworn Trench Knife ranks among our highest-quality gear for its durability and detail. The blade combines closed cell foam and a fiberglass core under a strong latex coating, while the handle is a polyurethane foam cast for fine detail with no upkeep. For a worn, distressed LARP look, this hybrid model gives you confidence in both safety and appeal on the battlefield.

Available in 23.6 in and 33.5 in length

History

Style of knife was developed during the First World War to incapacitate soldiers in close quarters

Some of the earliest knuckleduster styled knives were issued by the US Army during WWI, including the 1917 and 1918 Mark I trench knives

Disclaimer: Our LARP products are for recreational use only.
