A subtly curved crossguard guards the 5.1 in grip, which is wrapped in full-grain leather and finished with a "scent stopper" pommel. On the longer 43.3 in version, a ricasso extends the overall length without changing the blade itself.

Whether outfitting a common soldier or a lone wanderer, this sword from Epic Armoury stands among the line's most detailed and durable offerings. The blade is closed-cell foam over a fiberglass core under a tough latex coating, while the polyurethane-cast handle delivers fine detail with no upkeep required — a hybrid build meant to inspire confidence in both safety and appearance.

Available in 85 and 43.3 in lengths

History

Also known as a "knightly sword" or "arming sword"

Balanced with its mass close to the hilt for improved handling

Commonly used alongside a shield or buckler

The "scent stopper" pommel style was common from the mid-14th through the 16th century

Disclaimer: Our LARP products are for recreational use only.
