Don't let that fool you — it's every bit as reliable as it looks rough.

Two lengths are available: an 33.5 in version with a 25.6 in fullered blade built light without sacrificing structural strength, and a longer 39.4 in version with an 31.9 in blade. Both carry a crossguard with an intricate serpent-like embellishment and a 3.9 in handle cast and wrapped in leather around a carved hilt and pommel, finished with painted and sculpted rust stains, nicks, and scratches for an authentically weathered look.

Whether your character is an epic Viking, a feral berserker, or something colder and stranger from the North, this sword ranks among Epic Armoury's highest-quality gear thanks to its durability and weathered detailing. The blade combines closed cell foam and a fiberglass core under a strong latex coating, while the handle is a polyurethane foam cast offering fine detail with no upkeep required.

Available in 33.5 in and 39.4 in length

History

Originally a Frankish design

Most swords of this style found in Scandinavia were imported or looted from the Frankish Empire

The fuller — the groove running the length of the blade — was added to lighten it while reinforcing structural strength

Disclaimer: Our LARP products are for recreational use only.
