The design features an etched symbol drawn from an old Icelandic stave, with the outside polished to a smooth finish and the inside polished and treated for food use.

It's built for cool and room-temperature drinks, letting you stay in character instead of pulling out a plastic bottle — a natural fit for markets and camp life. With proper care it will serve you for years, though you should never pour hot drinks into it, since heat will distort the horn's shape. As a natural material, every horn is unique and colors will vary somewhat from the photo; it's offered in both a light and a dark finish, sold without a stand.

Available in Dark Horn and Light Horn colors

Has a volume of 16.9 fl oz

Stand not included

History

Ancient Greeks and Romans were known to use horns for drinking vessels

The ancient Greek term for a drinking horn was simply keras, which means 'horn'

In the prose Edda, Thor is challenged to drink from a horn that unknown to him contains all the seas.
