Its brim curves along the front and back to protect the head and face without blocking vision, and a long comb reinforces the skull-cap from forehead to apex. Riveted cheek guards add further protection to the face.

The bestselling Gambeson Warrior is a padded long-sleeve coat that covers the torso from the neck down past the hips, front and back -- worn alone or as padding beneath mail or armor. It closes down the front with five leather straps and brass buckles, and the sleeves detach by untying cotton cords at the shoulders and sleeves, each cord run through long-lasting brass eyelets.

Available in sizes S, M, L, XL, 2XL, 3XL and 4XL

History

Plate armor became more popular as firearm technology became more prevalent during the 13th century

Standardized armors were one of the most important factors for professional armies

Standardization of equipment became the norm during the industrial revolution of the 1700s

Disclaimer: Our LARP products are for recreational use only.
