Building on our earlier Viking-inspired shields, this design pushes authenticity further on several points: the shield boss has been sized down slightly for a more accurate fit against an unarmored hand, and the shield face imitates a leather cover, following research suggesting shields were finished this way to improve durability. Four available patterns were each drawn from interpretations of shields depicted on the Oseberg Tapestry.
