Ready For Battle Mace
New to the battlefield? Epic Armoury's Ready for Battle range built this 27.6 in latex mace as an approachable, versatile choice for warriors just starting their kit. A 21.7 in square-cut handle carries up to a four-flanged head measuring 7.9 in, its beveled spikes cut with negative space near the haft -- the topmost spike, at 3.1 in, stands slightly proud of its lower neighbor. The whole piece looks suitably fearsome for nearly any setting.
A fiberglass core wrapped in closed cell foam and coated in tough latex gives this LARP weapon the balance of safety and battlefield presence your kit needs.
- Has a 7.9 in long mace head
History
- The flanges were shaped to punch through armour plating
- Early maces relied on blunt-force impact rather than penetration to injure through armour
- Iron was the standard material, though copper and bronze appear occasionally
