Dreki Pauldrons
Epic Armoury's Dreki Pauldrons combine shoulder guards and spaulders to protect the shoulders and upper arms. Robust steel plates efficiently guard the back of the shoulder and upper arm while carrying the same imposing, Nordic-inspired design found throughout the Dreki set. Overlapping plates and rivets give the pauldrons an angular, intimidating look, with Epic Dark plates running down the middle for visual symmetry. The upper arm protection uses three overlapping steel plates held together by two leather bands, split down the middle with an Epic Dark-coated plate to maintain that same symmetry. Two tie strings attach the Dreki Pauldrons to the Dreki cuirass or other compatible torso armour, along with a strap on the lower plate. Overlapping plates, rivets, and a lean silhouette combine to give you the look of a fantasy Norseman braving the wilderness and hunting ancient dragons among snow-covered peaks.
The Dreki set comes in two colors -- a primary Matte Polish and a secondary Epic Dark -- highlighting different aspects of the design and its Nordic roots. Made of 0.04 in thick polished mild steel with full grain leather straps and fittings, this piece is built to withstand LARP or reenactment abuse with regular leather and metal armour care.
