Soldier Belt Shields
A pair of steel plates makes up Epic Armoury's Soldier Belt Shields, hanging from your own belt to guard the outer thighs. Rolled edges finish each rivet-fastened brown leather loop, with the plates themselves measuring 9.8 in long by 8.3 in wide and secured through two 9.4 in folded loops apiece. Overlapping, welded plates with curved edges give it the character of classic tassets, flexible enough to match a wide range of costume styles, and no assistance is needed to put the set on or take it off. Galvanized mild steel at 0.04 in thickness, combined with vegetable-tanned leather straps and fittings, means this armour piece can handle regular LARP or reenactment wear with routine leather and metal care.
