Single Bladed Axe - 41.3 in
Built for versatility across costume styles, this 41.3 in latex axe from Epic Armoury carries a 20.1 in curved head heavily worked with notches and scratches for a genuinely battle-worn look. Sculpting and hand-painting make the head appear bolted to the staff with solid riveted steel plates, and the 10.2 in handle section is textured and painted to look leather-wrapped for extra grip.
A fiberglass core under closed cell foam, finished in tough latex, gives this LARP weapon the safety and appeal your kit deserves.
History
- Battle axes often doubled as everyday tools and cost less to produce than swords
- The earliest hafted axes date to around 6,000 B.C., held together with birch-tar and rawhide lashings
