Jian Sword
Slender and elegant, Epic Armoury's Jian is a latex-hybrid weapon inspired by Chinese tradition. The full sword measures 29.5 in, built around a 24.4 in straight blade with a fuller and rain-guard. Its small, oval crossguard is 3.5 in wide and protects a 5.1 in handle cast and painted to resemble carved wood and metal.

History
The Jian has seen continuous use in China for roughly 2,500 years, earning the nickname "The Gentleman of Weapons" through associations like the famous general Sun Jian, defender of Ancient China's empire. Those trained in its use are called jianke. The blade's fuller — the groove running its length — serves a practical purpose too, shaving weight while adding structural strength.
