RFB Arm Protection
Ready For Battle's Arm Protection, from Epic Armoury, is essential gear for anyone heading onto the battlefield, guarding the forearms against lucky sword strikes and stray arrows alike. Its simple style crosses easily between genres and character types.
Two leather straps hold each vambrace in place. Made of 0.04 in thick mild steel with leather straps and fittings and finished in an oxidation-resistant coating, these pieces are built to withstand LARP or reenactment abuse with regular leather and metal armour care.
- Available in Polished Steel and Epic Dark colors
- Available in sizes M and L
- Comes as a set of two
History
Despite what many assume, "bracer" strictly describes forearm protection made for archers, gear like this is more accurately called a vambrace or forearm guard. Plate armour itself became more common as firearms spread during the 13th century.
