Pirate Hat
Epic Armoury's "tricorne" Pirate Hat is handmade from natural full-grain quality leather with sturdy stitching, trimmed in cotton canvas and laced leather around the brim. Modeled on popular 18th century hats, the brim turns up and pins into a triangle around the crown using leather lacing. With regular leather care, this hat will add a special touch to your kit for years to come.

History
Known historically as a "tricorne" or "cocked hat," this style had become popular by the close of the 17th century in both everyday civilian dress and military uniform. Most wearers pointed it forward, though soldiers often shifted the point above the left eyebrow to leave room for a rifle resting on the shoulder.
