Greatsword - 55.1 in
One of Epic Armoury's most popular two-handed swords, this Greatsword measures a full 55.1 in from tip to pommel, with a 41.3 in center-ridged blade that includes a ricasso section for genuine half-swording technique in close-quarters fighting. The crossguard has a sturdy, realistic profile, and the 12.6 in handle is wrapped in chrome-tanned suede for an ergonomic grip that gives you real control over such a long blade. The pommel is shaped like the elongated "cocked hat" style seen on Renaissance-era swords.

History

- Fighters trained in its use were known as Meister des langen Schwertes, or "Masters of the Long Sword"
- Its length meant it required both hands to wield and was typically carried unsheathed over the shoulder, like a halberd
