Short Mace
Epic Armoury's Short Mace is a utilitarian 27.6 in one-handed weapon. Its compact head carries pointed flanges, sculpted and hand-painted to resemble real metal over a soft foam core reinforced for durability. The shaft is hand-painted and sculpted like riveted dark wood, and the grip is wrapped in suede leather for maximum comfort.
Built from durable closed cell foam around a solid fiberglass core and finished with a strong latex coating, this LARP mace brings the safety and appeal you want for a Sovereign-style kit.
History
- A traditional mace flange would have been designed to penetrate armor
- Maces were first designed to cause harm without penetrating armor due to the force of their blows
- Commonly made of iron, but also occasionally copper and bronze
