Rune Spear - 74.8 in
Drawing on the imagery of night-dwelling warlocks and clerics, this 74.8 in latex spear from Epic Armoury is built to look at home in chaotic evil hands. A 18.5 in double-edged spearhead sits atop a 46.1 in staff, hand-sculpted and painted with carved runes running along the blade. Grommets ringing the crossguard and pommel finish the vicious, intimidating look.
As with the rest of the line, a fiberglass core is wrapped in closed-cell foam and sealed under a strong latex coating, giving this weapon the safety and striking appearance expected of LARP gear.
History
- Spears in some form have been used for hunting for at least 400,000 years
- They were the dominant weapon of the Stone Age and stayed in wide use right up until firearms took over
