Viking Spear
At 74.8 in, Epic Armoury's Viking Spear carries a long, leaf-shaped, ridged spearhead that's hand-sculpted and painted for a realistic finish, complete with faux metal bolts where the 15.7 in head meets the pole. A crossguard sits just below the head to protect your grip, and the dark wood-toned shaft ends in a matching metal-look pommel you can use to strike when the point end is otherwise occupied.
Underneath the finish, it's built from closed-cell foam around a fiberglass core and coated in durable latex, keeping the weapon safe for regular battlefield use.
History
- Spears in some form have been used for hunting for roughly 400,000 years
- They were the dominant weapon of the Stone Age and stayed in wide use right up until firearms took over
