Checkered Shield
Norman warriors of the 10th through 12th centuries inspired the semi-curved kite shape of Epic Armoury's Checkered Shield, suited equally to an infantryman or a knight. A laser-cut heraldic pattern finishes the face in fine detail, while the rest is hand-painted to give the look of lacquered wood set in a metal rim.
Three full grain leather arm straps on the back, anchored through a hard EVA foam core, let you carry it left- or right-handed with a grip that holds steady. Regular latex upkeep keeps this shield ready for continued LARP use.
