Spartan Armour Set
The Spartan Armour Set is a polyurea armor set built for an authentic look without the weight of steel. Steel remains unmatched for protective quality in historical armor, but it comes with real drawbacks: weight, inflexibility, and the constant maintenance needed to fend off rust. Unless you are actually stepping onto a reenactment or SCA battlefield, you rarely need that level of protection.
That is the thinking behind Epic Armoury's Light Kit Edition Armours, polyurea pieces designed to resemble authentic metallic armor while prioritizing weight, comfort, and utility. To the untrained eye they are hard to tell apart from real metal, yet they stay comfortable for long stretches of wear. The flexible polyurea bends to the contours of your body in ways rigid steel cannot, and each piece typically weighs a quarter of its steel equivalent, letting you move faster with less fatigue. Every piece is hand painted with a durable acrylic finish for a realistic look, will not rust the way steel does, and can be worn in any weather. Adjustable leather straps and the material's natural flex make the whole set comfortable to wear.
The Spartan Armour Set consists of the following pieces:
- Spartan Helmet: features a movable visor so it can be worn two different ways
- Spartan Musculata: a cuirass shaped to resemble the body of Ancient Greek Gods, protecting the upper body from attacks
- Spartan Pauldrons: shoulder protection that does not sacrifice flexibility or freedom of movement
- Spartan Bracers: cover the forearm for full arm protection
- Spartan Greaves: sculpted to cover the leg from knee to shin
This armor suits LARP, cosplay, costume parties, and theatre alike.
