Orc Cleaver
Epic Armoury's Orc Cleaver is a latex-hybrid short sword for the cruel orc or rustic barbarian, 23.6 in long from tip to pommel with a chipped, battered, single-edged blade. The serrated crossguard shields the whole hand and a handle cast and painted to resemble leather cord, while the blade itself is painted to look like rusted metal.

Inspiration
Orcs show up as far back as Old English and Anglo-Saxon sources, Beowulf among them, and in 16th-century Italian folktales, with the word itself tracing to the Latin Orcus, the Roman god of the dead. It was J.R.R. Tolkien's 20th-century Lord of the Rings series that cemented the modern image: brutish, aggressive creatures with an appetite for human flesh.
