Tarpaulin

Simple in concept but endlessly useful, the Epic Armoury Tarpaulin is woven from an unbleached, heavy-duty 100% cotton fabric (12 oz/m²) and treated with paraffin wax for extra weatherproofing. Reinforced patches sit at every corner and along the canvas edges, each fitted with a triangular ring. Rig it as an awning over a tent entrance, string it between two tents as a covered walkway, or raise it on four poles and stake it down to shelter a long camp table. Two poles and a handful of pins can even turn it into a roadside shelter — add a levitation spell and, arcane discretion permitting, it might fly like a carpet. Poles, pegs, pins, guy rope, and the tarpaulin bag are sold separately.

  • Available in sizes 6.6×6.6 ft, 6.6×13.1 ft, 9.8×9.8 ft, 9.8×13.1 ft, 9.8×16.4 ft, 13.1×13.1 ft, 13.1×16.4 ft, 13.1×19.7 ft.

What does Tarpaulin mean?

The word comes from "tar," used for waterproofing throughout history, combined with the Latin "pallium," meaning a rectangular cloth — so a tarpaulin is simply a rectangular waterproof sheet. The Epic Armoury Tarpaulin builds on that ancient concept with modern upgrades for maximum versatility.
