Mercenary Sword - Vanguard
Part of Epic Armoury's Vanguard line, the Mercenary Sword takes its design cues from the longswords of mediaeval Europe, with a grip built for one- or two-handed use.
Its crossguard is smaller than most European swords, allowing greater freedom of movement when wielding the blade. The polyurethane hilt is sculpted in fine detail to resemble wood reinforced with rivets and gold bands, with the hilt and pommel finished in steel color and gold detailing for a secure, comfortable grip.
The blade is closed cell polyurethane foam, colored for a lifelike finish, and its Kevlar Tip protection keeps the point strong yet flexible so it holds its shape over time. Like the rest of the Vanguard line, it needs virtually no maintenance beyond the occasional check for cuts or wear.
