Captain Leg Protection - Light Kit
Epic Armoury's Captain Leg Protection - Light Kit brings full leg coverage to Polyurea (PU), guarding the thigh and knee at a fraction of the steel original's weight. This pair of leg plates follow the same logic as the forged version, with a knee that carries a ridged and riveted border and a pointed fan to turn blows away from the joint, all linked by riveted bands down the leg.
Molding rather than forging cuts the weight dramatically, making this a good fit for long event days, junior fighters, and performers after the steel look without the strain. Metal-buckled leather straps secure each section, a top strap clips to your belt, and extra knee straps lock everything in place. It pairs with the rest of the Captain range, including the Cuirass, Pauldrons, Gorget, Arm Protection, and Belt Shields.

Fit, adjustment & care
Most of the fit comes from the strap system itself, but for an even closer fit, you can gently reshape the material with heat — apply it to the inside of the piece rather than the painted exterior so the material softens without harming the finish.
- Finish: The base material beneath the painted surface is black, so scratches and general wear may eventually reveal this black layer underneath.
- Easy touch-ups: Minor scuffs or scratches are simple to fix at home with a primer and acrylic hobby paints (such as Army Painter or Citadel).
- Leather care: Treat the leather straps like any other full-grain leather product, conditioning them occasionally to keep them supple and long-lasting.
- A living finish: Wear and patina are a natural part of your armor's lifecycle, adding to its authentic, battle-worn character over time.
