RFB Armour Set - Light Kit
The RFB Armour Set gives you a clean, versatile knightly look that works across genres, equally at home on a grizzled mercenary or a noble guard. Every piece is high-density polyurea, matching the durability and impact resistance of steel at a fraction of the weight, and staying entirely maintenance-free — no rust, no dents, no oiling, even after long sessions in wet weather. Full grain leather straps on each piece give a personalized, adjustable fit, and the neutral styling blends easily with other Epic Armoury gear.
The set is built from three pieces:
- Light Kit RFB Breastplate: protects the front of the torso and abdomen, with a built-in "sword turner" flange at the base that deflects strikes away from the join between torso and leg armour, finished with a hardened texture that reads as real metal.
- Light Kit RFB Arm Protection: a set of forearm guards in a clean, simple vambrace shape that defends against glancing blows and stray arrows.
- Light Kit RFB Leg Protection: shin guards in a simple, classic greave shape that protect against sweeping strikes and stray arrows along the lower leg.
Together, the three pieces form a versatile, maintenance-free set that looks equally at home on a mercenary or a noble guard, ready for whatever the field throws at you.

Fit, adjustment & care
The strap system on each piece handles most of the fit on its own, and where a closer fit is needed, the material itself can be reshaped with heat.
- Heat-shaping for a custom fit: apply heat to the inside (back) of a piece, never the painted exterior, to gently reshape the material without damaging the finish.
- Finish: the black base material sits under the painted surface, so scuffs and wear may eventually show through as black patches.
- Simple touch-ups: fix minor scuffs or scratches at home with a primer and acrylic hobby paint, such as Army Painter or Citadel.
- Leather care: condition the leather straps occasionally, the same as you would any full-grain leather product, to keep them supple.
- A living finish: expect wear and patina to build up naturally with use, adding to the piece's authentic, battle-worn character.
