Arm Protection Drake
Epic Armoury's Dark Drake Arm Protection wraps the forearm in steel vambraces built for combat, their rounded edges and scale-like ridges tapering from a wider fit at the elbow down to a narrower one at the wrist. A full grain leather strap secures each piece below the elbow, with a second strap above the wrist.
Designed to match Epic Armoury's Dark Drake Armour, these vambraces also mix freely with other Epic Armoury metal pieces so you can build your own look. Constructed from 0.04 in thick galvanized mild steel with full grain leather straps and fittings, this armor is built to withstand LARP or reenactment combat with routine leather and metal care.
- Available in sizes M and L
- Comes in signature Epic Dark color, giving the armor a mysterious look
History
Contrary to popular belief, "bracer" technically refers only to forearm protection worn by archers, gear like this would historically be called a vambrace or forearm guard. Plate armor grew more popular as firearms became more common in the 13th century, and pieces like this were historically sculpted with ridges to reinforce protection and deflect blows in the chaos of battle.
