Faulds and Tassets
Archers and rogues love an easy target, and the waist, hip, and upper thigh are exactly where a hit can knock you off balance or worse. Epic Armoury's Faulds and Tassets close that gap while an articulated bottom plate keeps your mobility intact. Two adjustable canvas straps run over the shoulders, with a leather strap cinching the waist, so the fit adapts to nearly any build.
Construction runs to 0.04 in mild steel paired with a full-grain leather belt; canvas straps keep adjustment easy and weight down, and an oxidation-resistant coating on the plating means this piece can take LARP or reenactment punishment as long as you keep up basic leather and metal care.
- Available in Polished Steel and Epic Dark colors
History
- Plate armor spread as firearms grew more common through the 13th century
