Liquid Latex
Epic Armoury's Black Latex is a DIY essential for building or repairing your own LARP weapon. Made from natural rubber and packaged in a plastic bottle, it coats a finished foam weapon in a protective, good-looking black finish.

Directions for use:
Carve closed-cell foam into your desired weapon shape and fit it around a clean, sanded fiberglass core, leaving enough foam around the core to keep it safe. Once shaped, dip the weapon in latex and let each layer dry for a smooth, protective finish.
A thin coat of silicone over the latex prevents the surface from drying out and extends the weapon's life. Check your gear for damage before and after each use, and finish the handle with a leather or cloth wrap.
