Warrior Helmet
Built as a Spangenhelm from thick leather, the Epic Armoury Warrior Helm covers the head, the back of the neck, and the front of the face. Four stitched leather plates form the skull cap, braced by heavy leather straps crossing over the crown, and a heavy strap around the brim anchors an elongated, diamond-shaped nose guard down the center of the face.
A stiff leather guard at the back protects against attacks from behind, and soft leather lining pads the interior. A wing-like decoration above the eyes finishes the look, matching well with most other Epic Armoury armor and clothing, and durable stitching keeps it standing up to LARP or reenactment use as long as you maintain the leather.

History
- The earliest known helmets date to Assyrian soldiers around 900 B.C.
- Leather construction eventually gave way to bronze, then iron, then steel
- This design echoes the Spangenhelm and nasal helm styles common in the Middle Ages
