Noble Leather Poleyns
This pair of knee guards from Epic Armoury shields the entire knee -- sides and shin-top included -- from stray arrows on the field. Overlapping leather plates keep the joint flexible and comfortable, while scalloped edges, red velvet trim, and cut-out patterning give the pieces a decorative touch beyond mere function.
Built from hard full-grain leather and 100% cotton velvet, they're rugged enough for repeated LARP or reenactment wear provided the leather gets regular care. Each poleyn straps on with two leather ties, and brass eyelets at the shin and top let you connect them to matching shin or thigh armor -- worn solo or as part of a full set, they add a note of refinement to any costume.
