Thrust Knife & Holder
Epic Armoury's Brown Thrust Knife Holder comes bundled with a knife, built specifically to hold the straight-edged Epic Armoury Thrust Knife throwing weapon. Two leather ties attach the handmade holder to a belt or armor, and a leather strap buttons over the knife to keep it secure even in rough fights. The Thrust Knife itself is a coreless weapon made from durable polyurethane foam, ideal for throwing mid-battle.
Full-grain leather and reinforced stitching around the edges keep this weapon holder in shape through LARP abuse with regular leather care.
- Available in Dark Brown and Epic Black colors
History
- Also known as a frog
- Historically used to hold an edged weapon's scabbard vertically from the belt
- The Thrust Dagger is designed to resemble a "balanced knife," a form preferred by most Western traditions
- Knife throwing began in martial arts and hunting before evolving into a sport
- Throwing a knife has always carried risk in martial arts, since a missed attack leaves you weaponless while arming your opponent
