Illumine Helmet
Epic Armoury's Illumine Helmet draws on the elven warriors of fantasy for a sleek, elegant, and functional style. It covers the head, neck, and most of the face thanks to a fanned nasal guard, while still offering clear vision through its Y-shaped visor. Overlapping welded plates along the neck add flexibility to turn and face your enemies, and details like the pointed crest and curved lines demand attention on the battlefield.
Similar to the popular Barbuta helmet, this high-fantasy armor secures with a leather strap tightened beneath the chin. Built from 0.04 in thick mild steel and full-grain leather straps and fittings, it's finished with a brass coating for a particularly regal look, and it will last for many seasons with regular leather and metal care.
- Sized S/M and L/XL, with a leather fitting and a loose foam band included for internal adjustment.
Inspiration
The rounded shape helps disperse impact force during chaotic melee, following the same logic seen in the Barbuta — itself a popular high-elf style. Plate designs like this one gained ground as firearms became more common through the 13th century.
