Guardsman Helmet
Epic Armoury's Polished Steel Guardsman Helmet takes its design from 15th century German sallet helmets. Its brim is broad and steeply sloped to shield the head and face from weapons, with two eye holes cut into the brim for protected vision. Pair it with a bevor for additional neck and face protection.
Tighten the leather strap beneath the chin to secure the Guardsman Helmet in place. Built from 0.04 in thick mild steel with full-grain leather straps and fittings, this armor piece is designed to hold up to LARP or reenactment use with regular leather and metal care.

- This helmet comes with a leather fitting and a loose foam band for internal adjusting.
History
- Similar in shape to a German sallet or an infantry Kettle Hat
- Provided the added benefit of protecting the eyes from sunlight
- Design was eventually replaced with the close helm and burgonet
