Norman Nasal Helmet
Epic Armoury's Norman Nasal Helmet is a conical skull cap providing basic head and face protection, drawing its design from historical helmets worn across most of the middle ages. A decorated nasal plate runs from the forehead down over the bridge of the nose, while a reinforcing ridge runs along the cap's crown for extra battlefield sturdiness.
A leather strap tightens beneath the chin to keep the Norman Nasal Helmet firmly in place. Built from 0.04 in thick mild steel with top-grain leather straps and fittings, this piece is made to endure the wear of LARP or reenactment use with routine leather and metal armor care.

History
This style saw use through most of the middle ages before eventually evolving into the great helm. The metal strip running down the nose shielded the face, and wearers typically paired the helmet with a mail coif to guard the neck and cheeks.
