Churburg Shoulders
Each of these two spaulders is a single metal plate with a beveled lower edge that turns aside blows aimed at the arm. Leather straps around the bicep and at the shoulder tie them to a breastplate or gambeson.
Neutral enough to combine with other Epic Armoury metal armor, this piece is built from 0.04 in mild steel with full-grain leather straps and fittings, tough enough for repeated LARP or reenactment wear with regular care.

- Plate armor grew more popular as firearms became more common in the 13th century
- It was typically worn over a gambeson for comfort and safety
