Viking Armour
Layered mild steel plates, laced together with sturdy leather cord, form this breastplate-and-backplate set modeled on the lamellar armor Vikings wore across the torso. Leather binding along every edge keeps it comfortable, and adjustable straps at the shoulders and sides join the front piece to a solid leather backplate.
It mixes freely with Epic Armoury's other metal armor for a customized look, built from 0.04 in mild steel with leather straps and fittings tough enough for regular LARP or reenactment use given basic care.

History
- Firearms becoming more common in the 13th century pushed plate armor into wider use
- Lamellar armor made of small iron plates, as worn historically by Vikings, inspired this design
- In practice, most Vikings actually wore ordinary clothing and relied on a shield for protection
