Soldier Torso
Epic Armoury's Soldier Torso is a handmade cuirass and backplate protecting the front and back of the torso and abdomen. This low-fantasy design, inspired by historical medieval armor, suits a wide assortment of characters. Its simple form comes in a range of sizes and its curved shape, which overlaps beneath the arms, fits most people easily. The plate rests at the hips with small rolled flanges around the edges.
Join the breastplate and backplate together over the chest to secure the Soldiers Torso: six leather straps riveted to the backplate adjust using buckles on the breastplate. Tighten to your size, ideally over a padded gambeson for maximum comfort. Made of polished 0.04 in thick steel with chrome leather straps, it's built to withstand LARP or reenactment combat with regular leather and metal care.
- Available in Polished Steel and Epic Dark colors
- Available in sizes S/M, L/XL, XL/2XL and 2XL/3XL
Inspired by Medieval History
- The sculpted ridges and overlapping plates were a historical way to reinforce protection and deflect attacks amid chaotic combat
- Plate armor's popularity rose through the 13th century as firearms became more common
