Churburg Armour
Epic Armoury's Churburg Armour is a straightforward, low-fantasy piece that guards the front and back of the torso and abdomen. Resting at the waist, the plate is sculpted to follow the body's shape while adding structural strength to the steel.
A wide 'V' embellishment on the front helps deflect strikes away from the head, and the piece pairs freely with Epic Armoury's other metalwork for a fully customized costume. It's made of 0.04 in thick mild steel with full grain leather straps and fittings, built to hold up under LARP or reenactment combat with regular leather and metal care.

History
- Loosely modeled on the Churburg #13 breastplate, a famous 14th-century armor set
- The historical piece was considered a "transitional" breastplate, meant to be worn over a great deal of chainmail
- Our version is scaled up considerably from the original, covering the whole chest
