Gut Plate
Epic Armoury's Gut Plate layers three ridged steel plates, or lames, over one another and a central plate to give the gut laminate protection. The full grain vegetable-tanned leather belt is built from two smaller embossed leather belts run through a wide brace for a secure fit that stays put over your costume. Two belt tongues lock in place with a pair of square brass buckles, giving you a look fit for barbarians and for any nomadic horse warrior, Viking, or Norseman who wants their soft spot properly protected while out raiding.
Barbarian hordes leaned on fear as a weapon, and looking intimidating in battle mattered as much as fighting well. Our Gut Plate captures that same wild, savage look and does the Barbarian style proud.
