Chainmail - Ragnar
Epic Armoury's Ragnar Chainmail is a long-sleeved mail shirt of interlinked steel rings, covering the wearer from the shoulders down to the thighs with sleeves that run all the way to the wrist. As with other mail shirts in the line, the body rings are butted and set in a 4-in-1 pattern, while riveted rings reinforce the armpits against additional stress. A coat of Epic Armoury's Metal treatment keeps rust at bay, meaning this armor holds up well over years of reenactment use as long as it receives basic metal care.
Its long sleeves and thigh-length coverage make the Ragnar a solid pick for heavy medieval infantry, sergeants, and early knights. Layer it over a gambeson for the most comfortable and historically authentic fit, and combine it with other Epic Armoury metalwork and garments to round out your character.
