Royal Soldier Chainmail
Epic Armoury's Royal Soldier Chainmail is a flexible mail shirt built from flat, riveted steel rings interlocked four-to-one in a 4-in-1 pattern, covering the body from the shoulders to the thighs with short sleeves that protect the upper arm. Every edge except the bottom hem is bound in leather, and rather than pulling it over the head, the wearer steps into it through a front opening secured by six brass-buckled leather straps. With ordinary leather and metal care, this armor is built to last through years of reenactment use.
This mail suits medieval soldiers, sergeants, and knights especially well, and it's most comfortable and authentic when layered over a gambeson. Pair it with other Epic Armoury metalwork and clothing to complete your character's kit -- after all, a top-trained member of the King's Guard needs armor fine enough to stand proudly beside His Majesty's throne, and the Royal Soldier Chainmail delivers exactly that.
