Dark Drake Complete Armour
This bundle brings together Epic Armoury's Dark Drake Breastplate, Shoulder Plates, Upper Legs, Arm Protection, and Leg Protection, letting you gear up your whole costume at a lower cost than buying each piece separately. Every part is built from galvanized mild steel with rolled edges and full grain leather straps and fittings, finished with Epic Armoury's Epic Dark Metal coat for a rugged, antique look. With ordinary leather and metal care, this set is built to take the abuse of LARP or reenactment while keeping the wearer safe and comfortable.
Features:
- The Dark Drake Breastplate is finely sculpted to shield the front of the torso, chest, and abdomen, resting at the hips; its V-shaped flange, or sword turner, deflects blows aimed at the vulnerable seam where torso and leg armor meet.
- The Dark Drake Shoulder Plates cover both shoulders with spaulders, pauldrons, and besagues working together. Four scale-like, ridged lames overlap on each spaulder to layer protection across the upper arms, while a large pauldron sits over that to guard the shoulder joint and armpit. Small round besagues, tied on with leather cords, add a further layer of armpit protection.
- The Dark Drake Upper Legs guard the thighs and groin: two steel plates hang from the hips over the outer thighs, and a third, slimmer plate covers the groin and offers some inner-thigh protection, all held in place by a full grain leather belt with suspenders.
- The Dark Drake Arm Protection consists of vambraces that sit comfortably over the forearm, running from the elbow down to a narrower fit at the wrist for combat protection.
- Rounding out the set, the Dark Drake Leg Protection pairs two demi-greaves that shield the shins while leaving room for poleyns to cover the knees.
