Enclosed Leg Protection - Polished Steel
Epic Armoury's Enclosed Leg Protection is essential for anyone looking to guard their legs on a chaotic battlefield. This pair of greaves includes poleyns covering the knees plus full greaves shielding the shins and calves. Rolled edges and small ridges around the rim add extra protection for the kneecap, making it less likely you'll take a pesky arrow to the knee and keeping your adventuring days going.
Two leather straps hold each greave securely in place. Made of 0.04 in mild steel with full-grain leather straps and fittings, these pieces are built to withstand LARP or reenactment abuse with regular leather and metal armor care.
History
- Plate armor became more popular as firearm technology became more prevalent during the 13th century
- Historically designed with sculpted ridges and overlapping plates to provide reinforced protection and to deflect attacks on a chaotic battlefield
