Sallet
Closely modeled on the historical helmet worn across fifteenth-century Germany, Epic Armoury's Sallet features a hinged, movable visor shaped to sit comfortably against the face while ventilation holes keep airflow moving. A flower-shaped hinge lets you raise the visor clear of the forehead or lower it over the face, and decorative plating runs along the brow for extra flourish. Behind the ears, a flexible lobster-style neck-plate guards the back of the head, while a leather chin strap tightens to hold the whole helmet in place. Built from 0.04 in mild steel with leather straps and fittings, it's designed to endure regular LARP or reenactment use provided you keep up with leather and metal care; it also ships with a leather fitting and a loose foam band for adjusting the internal fit.
