Hourglass Demi Gauntlets
Epic Armoury's Hourglass Demi Gauntlets are mild steel gloves built to protect the wrist and back of the hand in combat without sacrificing maneuverability. Each gauntlet is forged to sit comfortably over the hand, with a thick metal plate decorated in shiny rivets overlapping the first knuckles, and a short vambrace covering the wrist.
The steel fits comfortably over your own leather glove, worn through the vambrace opening and secured with a full-grain leather band around the palm. Polished mild steel with rolled edges keeps these demi gauntlets impressive yet affordable, and their low-fantasy, neutral look pairs easily with other Epic Armoury metalwork.

History
Gauntlets in one form or another have existed for millennia, with the design reaching its high point during the early renaissance as an essential part of a soldier's or knight's armor. The demi gauntlet traded finger protection for improved dexterity compared to a full gauntlet.
