Scout Gauntlets
Epic Armoury's Scout Gauntlets are mild steel gloves built to protect the wrist, back of the hand, and forearm in combat without giving up all maneuverability. Each gauntlet is made of three overlapping plates joined by a sturdy but flexible leather strap. The 3.9 in wide hand plate and short vambrace are forged from 0.04 in steel to fit comfortably over the first knuckles and around the curve of the arm; the vambrace itself measures 4.3 in at the wrist, widening to 7.9 in around the forearm. A thicker 0.06 in top plate, 4.3 in wide, is shaped to avoid rubbing against your rotating wrist.
These gauntlets fit comfortably over your own leather gloves, secured with a leather band around the palm, thumb, and wrist. Polished mild steel with rolled edges keeps them practical and affordable, and their low-fantasy, neutral look pairs easily with other Epic Armoury metalwork.
