Shift Rogue
Epic Armoury's Shift Rogue is a costume basic that goes almost anywhere. Simple and comfortable by design, it works equally well as the start of a rough-and-ready pirate look or as an underlayer beneath a more elaborate woman's pirate costume, and its loose structure lets the wearer decide whether it reads pressed and tidy or windswept after a week at sea.
The fabric is 100% cotton crepe, light and breathable with a natural crinkled texture that keeps the shift cool in motion - useful whether you're spending a full day at a LARP convention or wandering a renaissance faire in the heat. It only gets softer with wear.
Fit comes from center-front lacing paired with side ties, so you can cinch it close or let it hang loose as an outer layer. Sleeves gather gently at the wrist, adding shape without fuss.
Its real strength is versatility: add a belt, sash, and a few layers for a pirate look; throw a coat or jerkin over it for a period or fantasy costume; or wear it plain as everyday medieval working clothes - it even leans gothic if styled that way. Because of that range, it's a piece worth building a wardrobe around, adding layers over time as your character evolves.
